New York City native, Iustina Dumitru, is a Local USA 829 scenic artist living and working in the tristate area. Under the mentorship and leadership of industry pioneers Jane Snow and Joseph Forbes, at The Studio and Forum of Scenic Arts, she was able to hone her skills in drop painting; skills including trompe l'oeil, master painting replications, landscapes, faux finishes, and more. She also has professional experience working with spray guns, airbrushing, foam carving, vinyl application, mold casting, upholstery, and many other aspects that go into the production of hard scenery and props. She is very meticulous and has an eye for detail, thus often being tasked with intricate jobs that require deep concentration and a steady hand.
